Terms of Service
Last updated: August 30, 2026
These Terms are an agreement between you and Cramr governing your use of cramrtutoring.com and Cramr's tutoring services. By creating an account you agree to them. If an account is created by a parent or legal guardian, that guardian accepts these Terms on behalf of themselves and the student.
The service
Cramr connects K–12 students with vetted, independent math tutors for on-demand, one-on-one online sessions, and generates personalized study materials from those sessions. Tutors are independent contractors, not Cramr employees.
Accounts
- Students in grade 7 or below need an account created by a parent or guardian.
- You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your login safe.
- Information you provide must be accurate; we may suspend accounts that aren't.
Booking and payment
- The session price shown at booking is authorized on your card when you submit a request. It is captured only when the session concludes — or per the cancellation policy below.
- If no tutor accepts before your request expires, the authorization is released and you pay nothing. Banks can take several days to remove a released hold from your statement.
- Promotional codes apply at booking, cannot be stacked, and have no cash value.
- Session extensions offered by your tutor during a session are free.
Cancellation policy
- Cancel 2 hours or more before the scheduled start: 50% of the session price is charged.
- Cancel less than 2 hours before the start, or miss the session: 100% is charged.
- If the tutor cancels or does not attend, you are not charged, and we re-match your request when your availability allows.
Sessions and recordings
Sessions take place in an online classroom and are recorded and transcribed. Recordings support the study materials we generate for you, quality and safety review, and dispute resolution, and are retained per our Privacy Policy. By using Cramr you consent to this recording.
Conduct
Cramr is for tutoring. Harassment, cheating on assessments (including completing graded work for a student), recording others outside the platform, or attempting to move payment off-platform may result in suspension. Contact between students and tutors happens through the platform.
Study materials
Practice packets and study materials we deliver are for the student's personal educational use. They may contain errors; they supplement schoolwork rather than replace it, and Cramr does not guarantee academic outcomes.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent the law allows, Cramr's total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid Cramr in the three months before the claim arose.
Changes and termination
We may update these Terms; meaningful changes are notified by email before they take effect, and continued use after that constitutes acceptance. You may close your account at any time; obligations from sessions already booked survive.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA.
