Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 30, 2026

Cramr ("Cramr," "we," "us") provides on-demand online math tutoring for K–12 students. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to cramrtutoring.com and every Cramr service reached through it.

Information we collect

  • Account information. Student name and grade level; for guardian-created accounts, the guardian's name, email, and phone number; login email; timezone.
  • Session information. The subject and description of each tutoring request, photos of schoolwork you choose to upload, session times, and attendance.
  • Recordings and transcripts. Tutoring sessions are recorded (audio, video, and whiteboard content) and transcribed so we can generate study materials, support quality and safety review, and resolve disputes.
  • Payment information. Card details are collected and stored by Stripe, our payment processor. Cramr never sees or stores full card numbers.
  • Communications. Text messages and emails we exchange with you, including delivery records, and messages sent to support@cramrtutoring.com.

How we use it

  • To match tutoring requests with qualified tutors and run your sessions.
  • To generate the personalized study materials that are part of the service — for example, practice packets built from your session and the work you upload.
  • To charge for sessions under the pricing and cancellation policy you agree to.
  • To send service notifications by text and email (see "Text messages").
  • To keep the platform safe, including reviewing sessions when a concern is raised.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Text messages

Cramr is built around timely text notifications: session alerts for tutors, booking confirmations, meeting links, and session updates for clients. By providing a phone number you consent to receive these service messages. Message frequency varies with your use of the service; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving texts (we will then use email for required notices) and HELP or support@cramrtutoring.com for help.

Children's privacy

Students under 13 may use Cramr only through an account created by a parent or legal guardian, who consents to the collection described here on the student's behalf. We collect from students only the information needed to provide tutoring, and guardians may review or delete their student's information by contacting us.

How long we keep things

  • Session recordings: 90 days, then deleted.
  • Uploaded schoolwork photos: 30 days after your study packet is delivered.
  • Transcripts: 90 days.
  • Study packets: kept so you can keep using them.
  • Records connected to an active payment dispute or legal obligation are kept until the matter closes.

Who processes data for us

We use a small set of service providers to run Cramr: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Lessonspace (the online classroom, recording, and transcription), Twilio (text messages), Resend (email), Anthropic (generation of study materials), Sentry and Better Stack (reliability monitoring). Each receives only what it needs to do its job.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is role-restricted at the database level, and payment credentials never touch our systems. No internet service can promise perfect security, but we design so that a single failure does not expose your information.

Your choices

  • Review or update account information in your account settings.
  • Request a copy or deletion of your information: support@cramrtutoring.com.
  • Opt out of text messages by replying STOP.

Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will notify account holders by email before the change takes effect.
